NRI celebrates birthday with children at Sri Vyasa Avasam in Hanamkonda
Ganesh Katarapu, an NRI from Houston, celebrated his birthday with nearly 50 children at Sri Vyasa Avasam in Hanamkonda, gifting them clothes, sports gear, and treats. Coordinated by Sulakshya Seva Samithi, the event highlighted the organisation’s mission to connect donors with underprivileged communities and spread joy through meaningful gestures.

Hanamkonda: In a heartwarming celebration of compassion, an NRI residing in Houston, USA, Ganesh Katarapu celebrated his birthday with the children at Sri Vyasa Avasam at Hunter Road in Hanamkonda.
Nearly 50 children joined the celebrations on Saturday and all of them were presented with new clothes, a variety of sports equipment, delightful confectionaries and a generous spread of food.
Sharing his experience Ganesh said it was one of the most fulfilling birthdays he had ever celebrated and found immense satisfaction in bringing cheer to the children rather than spending money on extravagant parties.
Sulakshya Seva Samithi founder-president Santhosh Manduva, who coordinated the event, thanked Ganesh for his kind gesture.
Highlighting his organisation’s ongoing efforts in supporting underprivileged homes for over 13 years he said the samithi strives to act as a bridge between generous donors and those in need, facilitating events like this one helps spread happiness and hope.
