BRS accuses Revanth Reddy of running ‘family raj’ in Telangana
BRS leader Manne Krishank accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of running a “family raj” in Telangana, alleging that his relatives cornered contracts worth thousands of crores, including Singareni tenders and land deals, while the Congress diverted advertisements to National Herald
Hyderabad: BRS leader Manne Krishank on Monday launched a strong attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accusing his family of turning Telangana into a private fiefdom. He alleged that the Chief Minister was running a “family raj” by handing out contracts worth hundreds of crores to his relatives, while farmers, students and youth continued to suffer.
Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, Krishank alleged that Revanth Reddy’s brother Tirupati Reddy was acting as the shadow Chief Minister, while another brother Kondal Reddy was busy striking deals for the proposed Future City. He said one brother Jagadish Reddy was signing agreements with the government to promise investments, while another brother Krishna Reddy was controlling businesses, including government advertisements.
“Even advertisements are being diverted to the Congress mouthpiece National Herald,” he charged.
The BRS leader further alleged that the Chief Minister’s brother-in-law Srujan Reddy had secured contracts worth Rs 1,137 crore, including Singareni tenders. He also claimed that the government was attempting to forcibly acquire tribal lands in Lagacherla to benefit Revanth Reddy’s son-in-law Satyanarayana Reddy.
Krishank also alleged that when Revanth Reddy was TPCC president, he used a luxury vehicle registered to KLSR Infrastructure, a firm which has since been awarded contracts worth over Rs 500 crore.
“Revanth Reddy says there is no money even if he is cut open. But if his entire family is dissected, thousands of crores will tumble out,” Krishank remarked, questioning the silence of the AICC on what he called a family raj of loot and anarchy.
