BRS cadres submit representations to Gandhi statues in Adilabad

Earlier, a call was given by BRS working president KT Rama Rao against the Congress government for duping the public by not fulfilling six key poll promises

Adilabad: Cadres of BRS submitted representations to statues of Mahatma Gandhi following a call given by the party’s working president KT Rama Rao against the Congress government for duping the public by not fulfilling six key poll promises across erstwhile Adilabad district on Thursday.

In Adilabad, Boath MLA Anil Jadhav took part in the protest held at Sirikonda mandal centre and said that the Congress cheated the public by failing to realise its poll promises.

He demanded that the government take steps to implement crop loan in a full-fledged manner, to extend enhanced Rythu Bharosa crop investment support, to sanction houses and Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa immediately.

BRSV district president Dharani Rajesh participated in the programme and slammed the government for ignoring the implementation of poll promises. He garlanded a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi in Utnoor mandal centre. He flayed the Congress for not fulfilling the promises even after completing a year at the office. He wanted it to stand by its words.

Similar protests were witnessed in Boath, Bazarhathnoor, Jainad, Tamshi, Talamadugu, Gudihathnoor, Bheempur and other mandal centres of the district, in Mancherial, Nirmal and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts. Participants raised slogans against the government for neglecting the poll promises and duping the public.
