Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) lodged a police complaint against BJP MP CM Ramesh for spreading lies that BRS would merge with the BJP. The party leader Manne Govardhan Reddy filed the complaint at Banjara Hills Police Station on Friday. He demanded that the police register an FIR against Ramesh and warned that if Ramesh repeated such comments, the consequences would be severe.

Addressing the media after lodging the complaint, Govardhan Reddy accused MP CM Ramesh of amassing hundreds of crores through the liquor trade and bank fraud, including alleged embezzlement of Rs. 450 crore from banks. He said Ramesh joined the BJP from TDP only to escape the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) action.

He stated that Ramesh who acted as a mediator for the Revanth Reddy government in the mortgaging of Kancha Gachibowli forest land, has been rewarded with a Rs. 1,600 crore road development project in non-existent Fourth City. He pointed out that senior Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy himself revealed how the Andhra contractors were looting Telangana under the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government.
