Karimnagar: BRS leader and former Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravishankar has criticised the State government for failing to supply adequate urea to farmers.
On his way to Karimnagar, Ravishankar stopped at Kurikyala in Gangadhara mandal after noticing farmers queuing for urea. Farmers told him they had been making rounds for the fertiliser for over a week without success, and that only one bag was being allotted per passbook. Authorities attributed the problem to a shortage of urea.
Ravishankar later spoke to Collector Pamela Satpathi over the phone, reminding her that he had warned about a likely shortage in Gangadhara mandal a month ago. The Collector assured him that steps would be taken to address the problem and ensure adequate supply.
