BRS leader presents new cloths to orphan children on occasion of Bathukamma

Besides presenting new clothes, BRS leader and former MLA Sunke Ravishankar and his family members had lunch with children at his residence in Burugupalli of Gangadhara mandal on Sunday.

Karimnagar: Continuing his practice since the last few years, BRS leader and former MLA Sunke Ravishankar presented new clothes to orphan children on the occasion of Bathukamma festival.

Besides presenting new clothes, Ravishankar and his family members had lunch with children at his residence in Burugupalli of Gangadhara mandal on Sunday. The BRS leader and his wife became emotional while interacting with children.


Ravishankar earlier adopted ten children including eight belonging to Choppadandi constituency and two from Manakondur segment as they became orphans with the death of their parents. Besides providing education, children have been provided all kinds of assistance by the BRS leader.

Residents of Katnapalli of Choppadandi mandal, Samatha and her sister Mamatha became orphans with the death of their parents. Knowing about the incident, Ravishankar pooled Rs 18 lakh with the help of NRIs and deposited the amount in their bank accounts.

While Samatha was provided a job in Mugdumpur Gurukulam school, Mamatha joined in Gurukulam school to continue her education. They were also sanctioned a double bedroom house in Mugdumpur.

Similarly, other orphan children were also joined in schools besides providing all kinds of assistance by the former legislator.
