BRS leaders allegedly placed under house arrest ahead of Revanth Reddy’s Palamuru visit
Several BRS leaders, including former MLAs, were allegedly placed under house arrest ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to the erstwhile Palamuru region. The party criticised the move, terming it undemocratic and an attempt to suppress opposition voices.

Mahabubnagar: Ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to different constituencies in erstwhile Palamuru on Thursday, many BRS leaders, including former MLAs have been placed under house arrest by the police.
Former MLA Chittem Rammohan Reddy was placed under house arrest in Makthal at Narayanpet by the police. Similarly, a few leaders in Jogulamba Gadwal were also prevented from stepping out of their houses.
The police arrived at BRS incharge Basu Hanumanthu’s residence in Gadwal late in the midnight on Wednesday. Since then, the police have prevented him from stepping out of his house.
Likewise, a few BRS leaders, including former Municipal Chairman BS Keshav and others have also been placed under house arrest.
The BRS leaders fumed at the police highhandedness and questioned the Congress government’s claims on delivering Praja Palana. In a democracy, were opposition leaders not permitted to submit representations on different issues to the Ministers and Chief Minister and raise people’s issues, they asked. EOM
