BRS leaders condemn Revanth Reddy’s remarks on Musi river project

At a joint news conference at Telangana Bhavan, Sudheer Reddy criticized the Chief Minister for using inappropriate language and highlighted that the BRS had launched the Musi River clean-up project. He expressed disappointment over the CM’s claims that the BRS was hindering the project.

Hyderabad: BRS MLAs D Sudheer Reddy, Kaleru Venkatesh, and BRS leader Swami Yadav on Saturday condemned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s remarks on the Musi River project.

Addressing a joint news conference at Telangana Bhavan, Sudheer Reddy criticized the Chief Minister for using inappropriate language and pointed out that the BRS had initiated the Musi River clean-up project. They expressed disappointment over the CM’s statements that the BRS was obstructing the project.

The BRS leaders demanded that the development of the Musi River should not result in displacement of people. They accused Revanth Reddy of inciting farmers in Nalgonda district and pressuring the poor to vacate their homes at midnight. They emphasized that the BRS government, under Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership, had constructed 32 STPs (Sewage Treatment Plants) in Hyderabad, with 8 already completed, to ensure clean water in the Musi River.Sudheer Reddy, former chairman of the Musi River Development Corporation, stated that the BRS government had developed the Musi River without causing harm to the poor. He demanded that the 2013 Land Acquisition Act package be implemented for the displaced people and that compensation be provided. The BRS leaders warned that they would block bulldozers if necessary to protect the rights of the displaced people.
