Jangaon: BRS MLC K Kavitha warned the Congress government, declaring that every act of harassment against BRS activists was being recorded in the Pink Book of the party and would be dealt with when her party returned to power. She made it clear that no one would be spared and all accounts would be settled with interest.
“We also know how to maintain accounts. We will settle all their accounts when the BRS returns to power,” she asserted, citing the Congress government’s partisan attitude and intimidating tactics.
During her Jangaon district tour, Kavitha ridiculed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for cancelling his Warangal visit, stating he feared public backlash over the unfulfilled Farmers’ Declaration. She also charged the Congress government of stifling dissent, alleging that police were filing cases against BRS activists based on their posts on social media criticising the government.
“Rahul Gandhi roams around the country holding the Constitution, but in Telangana, Revanth Reddy is running his own constitution,” she remarked, calling the Congress party a fraud.
She attacked the Congress’ poor governance, stating that while former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao ensured water and funds for villages, the Revanth Reddy government could not even complete the nearly finished Sammakka-Sarakka barrage. She blamed Revanth Reddy for stalling the project’s progress.
Addressing a press meet at the BRS office in Jangaon, the BRS MLC slammed the government’s “partisan approach” and warned defectors that by-elections would see the BRS winning back its seats. She criticised the Congress for failing to increase BC reservations effectively, demanding that instead of a single bill, the government must introduce separate bills for education, employment, and political reservations.
Kavitha lambasted the Congress for failing to deliver Rs.2,500 per month to women, distribute scooties, and continue Kalyana Lakshmi and KCR kits schemes. She said the government deceived farmers by delaying the loan waiver and fine rice distribution through ration shops.
During her Jangaon visit, she met Pembarthi artisans, and urged the government to ensure fair prices for their products and also reinstate the removed village bus stop. She also paid homage to Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud and visited the Mahammai Ammavari temple.
