Hyderabad: BRS MLA Marri Raja Shekhar Reddy who visited several areas in his Malkajgiri constituency assured people affected by HYDRAA demolition spree that he would stand by them and fight the Congress government on the issue.

The MLA on Sunday visited several areas including East Anand Bagh, Vinayak Nagar, Moulali Divisions, Shankaraiah Colony, Simhadri Nagar NMDC Colony, Sivananda Nagar and other colonies and asked people not to worry about the HYDRAA authorities.

It does not make sense to demolish houses, which were built before 30 years with municipal permissions and registrations besides paying all kinds of taxes, he said.

Stating that he would stand by people’s side, Reddy said this problem was not of any individual but of the entire people of Malkajgiri.

“It is evil to demolish houses that have been built after spending a lot of effort and taking all permissions,” he added.
