Sangareddy: The State government’s attempt to shift Sangareddy Sub-Registrar’s Office to Patancheru constituency in the name of building an integrated registration office drew strong opposition from different quarters.
Officials said the State government had decided to build a model registration office by integrating nearby sub registration offices across the State. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy will lay the foundation for the construction of the integrated registration office at Kardhanur in Patancheru constituency on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, BRS MLA Chintha Prabhakar wrote a letter to the Minister stating that the government must withdraw any proposal to shift the Sangareddy SRO to Patancheru.
Prabhakar said Sangareddy had a registration office for decades. Since the district headquarters and neighbouring mandals are witnessing rapid development, he said there will be increased registration activity in Sangareddy in the coming years.
The BRS MLA added that people here will face difficulties traveling to Patancheru for registration of land.
