Jagga Reddy opposes move to shift Sangareddy sub-registrar office
The Telangana government’s plan to merge neighbouring sub-registrar offices into integrated registration offices has met resistance from TPCC working president T Jagga Reddy. He opposed the merger of the Sangareddy sub-registrar office and urged Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy to withdraw the proposal.
Sangareddy: The State government’s decision to set up integrated registration offices by merging neighbouring sub-registrar offices is drawing strong opposition from within the Congress party itself.
TPCC working president T Jagga Reddy has come out strongly against the move of merging the Sangareddy sub-registrar office into an integrated registration office, for which Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy will lay a foundation stone on Wednesday at Kardhanur in Patancheru constituency.
Jagga Reddy issued a statement against the move and spoke to the Minister asking him to withdraw the proposal. Initially, the Stamps and Registration department sent an invitation to all elected representatives and officials, informing them that Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy would lay the foundation for the Integrated Sub-Registrar Office complex. When Jagga Reddy opposed the move, they sent another invitation card changing the name of the office into a sub-registrar office complex.
Jagga Reddy’s statement has sparked a discussion among different sections, since it is being viewed as direct opposition to the party leadership, including Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who had laid the foundation for the first integrated registration office at Gachibowli in August. The government is known to be planning nine integrated registration offices in four districts located in and around the Outer Ring Road.
