Hyderabad: In the run-up to the Telangana Formation Day and BRS’ silver jubilee celebrations, the BRS NRI USA Youth wing organised a grand preparatory meeting in Dallas, drawing a large turnout of youth and students from across the region.
Students from top universities, including the University of North Texas and University of Texas at Dallas, joined the gathering, alongside hundreds of enthusiastic young professionals and BRS supporters.
Senior BRS leaders and former Ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao, V Srinivas Goud and LB Nagar MLA Devireddy Sudheer Reddy attended as chief guests.
Addressing the gathering, Errabelli said TDP founder NT Rama Rao and BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao ushered in transformative reforms for farmers and rural communities. “KCR is a visionary who brought water and hope to Telangana,” he said.
Srinivas Goud credited Chandrashekhar Rao with the creation of Telangana and for laying the foundation for its development trajectory. The event also saw a vibrant cultural moment as former whip Rasamayi Balakishan enthralled the crowd with his singing.
Several former MLAs and BRS leaders, including Guvvala Balaraju, Gadari Kishore, Pilot Rohit Reddy and others, participated, reaffirming support from the diaspora.
BRS NRI global coordinator Mahesh Bigala appreciated the organisers, while BRS NRI US advisory board chairman Tanneeru Mahesh called on expatriates to turn out in large numbers for the celebrations on June 1.
