BRS protests over delay in Rythu Bharosa in erstwhile Medak

BRS leaders organised a massive protest across Medak against Congress's failure to release Rythu Bharosa, burning Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's effigy.

Sangareddy: BRS Party leaders and cadre organised massive protests across the erstwhile Medak district against the Congress government’s decision not to release the Rythu Bharosa incentive for the Kharif season.

While Narsapur MLA V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy participated in Doulthabad junction, Zaheerabad MLA K Manik Rao participated in a protest in Zaheerabad town. Dubbak MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Former Medak MLA M Padma Devendar Reddy, Narayankhed former MLA M Bhupal Reddy, and the Party cadre organised similar protests across all the mandal headquarters following a call from Party working president KT Rama Rao. The BRS cadre set Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy‘s effigy on fire, to mark the protests.


Speaking on the occasion, Sunitha Lakshma Reddy lashed at the Congress government for denying Rythu Bharosa for the Kharif. Recalling how the former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao implemented the scheme without any interruption, Reddy said that Revanth cheated the people of the State by promising to increase the incentive from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000.

However, she said that Revanth’s government could not release anything so far. The situation turned a bit tense in Raipole mandal headquarters of Siddipet district as police tried to prevent the burning of the effigy. However, the BRS cadre persisted and demanded the police permit them to organise the protests. Even the police attempted to confiscate the effigy, but the BRS cadre prevailed in their attempt.
