Hyderabad: BRSV, along with a group of technical education students, raised the issue pertaining to cessation of semester-wise supplementary exams that affected thousands of polytechnic diploma students, with Principal Secretary to Government (Education) Burra Venkatesham on Wednesday.
According to BRSV Coordinator, Mir Qurram Ali, the cessation of semester-wise supplementary exams, a policy change, had severely impacted students who are struggling to clear their backlog courses.
“Last year, the government stopped conducting supplementary exams on a semester-wise basis. This has left over a thousand students in limbo, unable to complete their diploma courses and advance in their education. It is an injustice that must be rectified immediately,” said Ali.
He also pointed out the government’s unreasonable decision to hold three exams in a single day for students, a practice that has created a logistical nightmare for those already under immense pressure. “How can students be expected to write three exams in a day? This is not only unfair but also mentally and physically exhausting. It’s an impossible situation,” Ali added.
