BRSV students storm Assembly twice as Telangana budget session gets underway
The protesters were taken into custody and removed from the Assembly premises. Their main demand was the immediate appointment of a Minister for the Education Department. Hyderabad: BRSV (Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi) activists staged protests twice outside the Assembly, pressing for their demands on Wednesday as the budget session got underway. The students attempted to breach the Assembly gates, but their efforts were thwarted by the police.
The protesters were arrested and escorted away from the Assembly complex. Their primary demand was the appointment of a Minister for the Education department without delay. They also called for a due hike in allocations to the education sector in the state budget, emphasising its importance for the future of students.
The Assembly premises echoed with slogans like “Revanth Reddy down, down,” as the students voiced their discontent.
