Budget reflects CM KCR’s vision: MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy
Participating in a debate on the budget in the State Assembly, TRS MLA said a lot of dedication and commitment was involved in preparing the budget to ensure benefits to all sections of society
Hyderabad: TRS MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy said on Saturday that the budget 2021-22 reflected Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s vision of according priority to agriculture sector and to take up various welfare activities in the State.
Participating in a debate on the budget in the State Assembly, he said a lot of dedication and commitment was involved in preparing the budget to ensure benefits to all sections of society.
“Agriculture and welfare are two eyes to the Chief Minister,” he said. Giving top priority to agriculture sector, Reddy said Telangana was the only State that was giving quality power supply to agriculture sector.
This is in addition to supply of fertilizers on time and providing Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima schemes to farmers. To meet agriculture requirements, the State government has taken up construction of various irrigation projects.
Announcing a policy or a scheme was not important but the crucial aspect is implementing it effectively for the benefit of beneficiaries.
Reddy said various schemes introduced in the State reached the beneficiaries in a transparent manner. On many occasions, several Union Ministers appreciated the schemes introduced by the State government, he said.
The amount spent on traditional occupations has helped in financial development of the people in villages. With a foresight, Chief Minister gave preference to rural development and accordingly taken up ‘Palle Pragathi’ programme to improve basic amenities in villages.
Stating that necessary steps were taken for the welfare of BCs, SCs and STs, and minorities in the budget, Reddy said the State government was giving pensions to widows, senior citizens, beedi workers and differently abled persons among others.
He appreciated the government for allocating more funds for the welfare of backward classes as more applications are pouring in from these communities to avail Kalyana Lakshmi scheme.
