Capsule course: A panacea in tough times
This course is designed to cater to the students with a few of the topics which are onerous and challenging.
To strengthen the knowledge of the students, Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills organised “Online Capsule Courses” Phase II. The courses aim to introduce the new concepts of Science, English and Mathematics for classes V to VII as the students have graduated to the next grade.
This course is designed to cater to the students with a few of the topics which are onerous and challenging. During this period, teachers taught the students various activities and tasks. The best part of these classes is that they are very interactive and a detailed explanation of the topic is given. The courses help students to spurt in their subject knowledge.
Children from various parts of the country joined the session as the capsule courses are open for the students of other schools also. The brainstorming session on different types of questions is indeed a sight to behold.
Students try different approaches that do not restrict them to their textbook- prescribed methods and find new ways to solve questions. Independent learning is a skill but learning in a group and with peer involvement makes learning more enjoyable.
The teachers shared tips, tricks, shortcuts and methodologies that would help students with their examinations. Each question that the students had was clarified and teachers went out of their way to ensure that no doubt clouded the students’ minds.
The unpredictable year brought in a lot of changes in the lives of students and teachers. But learning never stopped at the school initiated various innovative techniques to make teaching and learning easy.
