Jagtial: A car that was illegally transporting banned gutka created a flutter in Jagtial town on Thursday morning, when the speeding vehicle overturned after hitting a two wheeler vehicle, electric transformer, two electric poles and a chicken center.
According to police, as part of the routine practice, they were carrying out vehicle checks near Gandhinagar. A car proceeding towards Jagtial from Nizamabad started speeding despite police instructions to stop.
After crossing the police check-post, the speeding car hit a bike, electric transformer, two electric poles and a chicken center before overturning.
While two persons travelling on the bike suffered injuries, power supply in the area was affected as two electric poles were uprooted and some chicken also died.
On checking, police found banned gutka packets in the overturned car. The persons travelling in the car have been taken into custody, sources said.
