Suryapet: Taking a strong exception to the baseless allegations being made by Congress leaders against BRS working president, KT Rama Rao, BRS leader and former Minister G Jagadish Reddy said on Saturday that they were all intended to mislead farmers and divert their attention from the pressing issues.

Addressing a news conference at his camp office in Suryapet, he said the Congress was involved in a blame game by filing frivolous cases against KTR and they would not stand the scrutiny of the Courts.

He emphasised that the final loan waiver list should be signed and released by the Finance Secretary immediately as farmers are eagerly waiting for the promised debt relief. The Chief Minister had often been claiming that all loans have been waived, but it was far from the truth.

Jagadish Reddy also criticised the Chief Minister for not mentioning any conditions on the loan waiver in the Warangal Declaration, but now the government was putting several conditions in place.

He accused the government of misleading farmers, students and youth with false promises and failing to implement schemes effectively.

He questioned the government’s spending of Rs 1,28,000 crore without any tangible assets created or new schemes implemented so far.

Jagadish Reddy called on the public to hold the government accountable for its failures and ensure that the promises made, including the loan waiver and Rythu Bharosa, are implemented by the government without any conditions.
