Students of Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills contested for the post of Head Boy/Head Girl, House Captain, Cultural Secretary, Sports Captain and many other posts at all levels from Pre-Primary to class VIII.
The process began after the students registered for the role, they were interested in. The student council posts require values such as responsibility, humility, and integrity. The selection took place through different steps such as speeches, panel interviews and essay writing. This was followed with e-electoral campaigns from the finalists.
The finalists used persuasive slogans, posters, and delivered motivating speeches. They spoke about their manifesto and the changes they would bring to the school. The campaigning took place with great enthusiasm and zeal virtually. An online e-election was conducted, where all the students cast their vote.

The school council members were declared and the other contestants displayed good sportsmanship about it. The elections week was so eventful and exciting that it was coined with the term ‘Election Time.’
The experience imparted students with knowledge of how the voting process functions. It taught the contestants the values of sportsmanship and humility. The election process at DPS Mahendra Hills was indeed an experience to remember.
