Celebrations break out following KCR’s announcement on govt recruitment drive

Hyderabad: Youngsters along with the TRS cadre broke into celebrations across the State especially in the State-run universities of Osmania, Kakatiya and others, within minutes after Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced a mega recruitment drive to fill up 80,039 vacant posts in government departments. The unemployed youth who have been eagerly awaiting for government jobs, distributed sweets and danced to drum beats.
Most of them remained glued to the televisions since 10 am. Soon after Chandrashekhar Rao made the announcement in the Assembly, they came out in a joyous mood. Many youth were seen dancing to the ‘Teen Maar’ drum beats. The social media too was abuzz about the massive recruitment soon after the Chief Minister made the announcement.

The unemployed youth were seen congratulating each other on the occasion in various university campuses. They thanked the Chief Minister for not only ensuring majority of jobs to locals, but also for enhancing the upper age limit by 10 years for all posts except the uniform services like the police, which was unforeseen in the past. They appreciated the government’s decision to scrap the contract recruitments altogether and regularising the existing contract workers.
The TRS leaders burst crackers and distributed sweets amidst dancing to drum beats at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad as well as various parts of the State. They performed ‘Abhishekam’ by pouring milk on the flex boards of the Chief Minister and thanked him for ensuring 95 per cent reservation in all cadres to the locals.
The TRS legislators too made a beeline at the Chief Minister’s chambers in the Assembly and thanked him for bringing out a concrete policy to ensure that all the vacancies were filled annually. They lauded his efforts in ensuring 95 per cent jobs to the locals.
