Siddipet: Siddipet Municipal Commissioner KV Ramana Chary has instructed owners of commercial buildings in the town to keep cellars of all the commercial buildings open only for parking. Most of the owners of commercial buildings have converted cellars into commercial spaces forcing the customers to park their vehicles on roads that was creating serious traffic problems across the town.

Since Siddipet town is witnessing frequent traffic jams, the Commissioner held a meeting with the owners of commercial buildings and traders on Thursday.

Chary said the building owners were renting out their cellars to traders forcing customers to park their vehicles along the roads which was resulting in traffic congestion. Stating that there was need to decongest traffic on Siddipet roads, Chary asked them to convert all the cellars into parking places.
He said that the town had 40,000 two-wheelers apart from autos, cars, and other vehicles.

Suggesting them to take the permission from the town planning department before taking up the construction of any building, the Commissioner said they will take strict action if anyone violates the rules. Apart from demolishing the building, Chary said that the owners of the buildings were eligible for up to three years of imprisonment.
