Yadadari-Bhongir: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Saturday said the Narendra Modi government had hatched a conspiracy to weaken the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Speaking at the Chief Minister’s public meeting in Bhongir, Jagadish Reddy said the BJP government at the Centre was making efforts to scuttle the efforts of the State government in implementing welfare schemes. “Unable to stomach the increasing popularity of the Chief Minister, the BJP government is resorting to unethical tactics. The people of Telangana should show the spirit and unity shown during the Statehood movement and foil the conspiracies of the Centre,” he added.

He said the Chief Minister was striving hard to achieve the aspirations of the people for which they participated in Telangana agitation. The welfare schemes and development programmes taken up by Chandrashekhar Rao has left the country in wonder,” he said.

He said that four lakhs people were getting welfare pension in erstwhile Nalgonda district. The state government was also spent thousands of crores of rupees for restoration of irrigation tanks under Mission Kakatiya, modernization of Musi projects and left canal of Nagarjuna Sagar Project to provide irrigation facility to the farmers. The farmers of tail end areas of NSP left canal were now getting irrigation facility in the district.
