Visakhapatnam: It is strange that the Telugu Desam Party national president N. Chandrababu Naidu is supporting former Visakhapatnam Mayor Sabbam Hari who had grabbed 213 sq. yards of government land in Visakhapatnam city, YSR Congress Party official spokesman and Anakapalle MLA Gudivada Amaranath has observed.

Talking to media persons here on Sunday, he said that Chandrababu had the habit of encouraging those involved in crimes. “He has made Ravindra, involved in a murder case, as TDP general secretary and Atchan Naidu, who is neck deep into the ESI scam, as state president of the party. The TDP party posts are given according to seniority in frauds,” he commented.

Noting that the land encroached by Hari in Visakhapatnam city was worth Rs. 3 crore, he said that when the former did not respond even after several notices, the notice was pasted on the wall of his house.

“The state government has repeatedly warned that land grabbing would be severely dealt with. During Chandrababu regime, a huge land scam took place in Visakhapatnam and even the TDP leaders had levelled charges to that effect. We will protect government land at any cost,”
he stated.
