Suryapet: YS Sharmila, daughter of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, who plans to launch a political party in Telangana, faced the ignominy of being greeted by locked doors when she tried to meet some people in Nalgonda on Wednesday.
Sharmila found the house of Neelakanta Sai whom she had wanted to meet locked at Medaram village in Nereducherla mandal in the district. She wanted to meet the family and tell them that the suicide bid was on account of the government not issuing job notifications.
Later, she consoled the family of Saleem, who died of ill-health recently, at Burugadda of Huzurnagar mandal.
Stop political drama: MLA
Reacting to Sharmila’s allegations, Huzurnagar MLA Shanampudi Saidi Reddy said it was unfortunate that she was trying to project as if his followers had ‘kidnapped’ Sai from his house. “People of Telangana will never believe the opportunistic political drama of Sharmila. The people of Telangana achieved Statehood and are living happily. Sharmila, who belongs to Andhra Pradesh, has nothing to do in our state,” he said.
