Nirmal: Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had become a family member of every farmer by introducing the Rythu Bandhu scheme. He took part in the ongoing week-long Rythu Bandhu celebrations held in Laxmanachanda and Mamada mandal centres on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Indrakaran Reddy read out the schemes introduced by the State government for the welfare of farmers. He cited Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema and the provision of free and uninterrupted power to agriculture needs and sufficient supply of seeds and fertilizers. He stated that the government made farming a profitable sector by taking a slew of measures.

The Minister further said that the State government converted agriculture, which was causing losses to farmers, into a profitable affair. He handed over prizes to winners of Rangoli competitions held to mark the release of Rs 50,000 crore to farmers under the scheme. He expressed gratitude to Rao for earmarking a huge chunk of funds to implement the initiative.

Meanwhile, the government whip Balka Suman participated in the similar celebrations held at Adilpet village in Mandamarri mandal. He said that the Rythu Bandhu scheme was one of the greatest schemes introduced in the world. He stated that the State government was a farmer-friendly one and Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao was always concerned for farmers.
