Wanaparthy: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said all the required amenities would be provided in government schools across the State and appealed to the students to make good use of the facilities being arranged in the schools.
English medium instruction would also be introduced in the government schools from the next academic year, the Chief Minister said after formally launching the Mana Ooru Mana Badi programme at ZP High School (Boys) here on Tuesday.
He unveiled the pylon set up on the school premises as part of the inaugural ceremony.
Addressing on the occasion, the Chief Minister said “We all studied in government schools and excelled in respective fields due to the education provided by our teachers. Make good use of the facilities being provided in the schools and achieve great success,” said Chandrashekhar Rao while addressing the students and gathering at the venue.
Under the Mana Ooru Mana Badi programme, the State Government will be developing 26,000 government schools across the State with an outlay of Rs.7,289.54 crore in three phases. In the first phase, 9,123 schools will be developed by providing 12 different facilities. These works would be taken up with a cost of Rs.3,497.62 crore and the education department has target to complete the works by June.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the new Agriculture Market Yard at Chityala. As farmers were facing lot of inconvenience at the existing market yard due to insufficient space, a new market yard is constructed at Chityala in a area spanning over 40 acres. It is constructed with a cost of Rs. 44.5 crore.
Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated the TRS party office at Nagavaram. He was accompanied by Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy, Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud and other elected public representatives during the programmes.
In the afternoon, the Chief Minister will lay foundation for medical college at Nagavaram and inaugurate the integrated collectorate complex.
