Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday directed the officials as well as people to remain vigilant and cautious with the Indian Meteorological Department issuing a warning predicting heavy to very heavy rains across the state over the next two days.
Heavy rains are lashing at several places across the State since Saturday evening.
The Chief Minister instructed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to keep the entire administration on high alert. He wanted the Chief Secretary to monitor the situation with the district collectors, superintendents of police and also police commissioners at regular intervals and take necessary relief measure.
The officials have been directed to stay stationed in their headquarters and respond to people to avert unnecessary losses to lives and property. He also urged people to remain cautious as the heavy rains could result in flooding.
