Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah to release Rs.11,713.49 crore for restoration and repairs of damaged infrastructure due to the recent heavy rains in Telangana.

The Chief Minister, who met Shah in New Delhi, reminded him that a letter was written on September 2 requesting the Centre to release Rs.5,438 crore for repair works. A Central team already visited the State and enumerated the crop and other losses and submitted a report on September 30 and estimated a loss of Rs.11,713 crore.

The Chief Minister also appealed to Shah to reinstate the districts of Adilabad, Mancherial and Komaram Bheem Asifabad in the list of Left Wing Extremism Affected (LWE) districts. These 3 districts were removed from the list in the past. He also wanted establishment of CRPF JTF camps in Kondawai of Charla mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district and Alubaka of Venkatapuram mandal of Mulugu district.

Regarding pending bifurcation issues, Revanth Reddy urged Shah to settle disputes over distribution of government buildings and corporations in Schedule 9 (under Sections 53, 68 and 71 of the Act) and the dispute of the institutions under Schedule Ten (under Section 75 of the Act) amicably.

The Chief Minister also wanted the Centre to allocate 29 additional IPS posts to Telangana.
