Rajanna-Siriclla: BRS working president KT Rama Rao said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was trying to arrest him by implicating him in any case.

Stating that this was because he was relentlessly questioning the government, Rama Rao said he would not fear cases and arrests as long as he had the support of party workers.

Speaking to party workers at the Sircilla Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, Rama Rao said whether it was Children’s Day or Rajiv Sadbhavana Yatra or the CM’s birthday or the Vemulawada meeting, Revanth Reddy’s sole agenda was to abuse BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao. Except for making promises to gods, denying promises and abusing KCR, he had done nothing, he said, adding that after the Kodangal incident, the Chief Minister was not in a position to go to the local farmers either.

During the BRS government, there was an incident in Nerella of Sircilla, he said, recalling how he had met the victims and ensured maximum benefit to them. The people of Nerella had then voted for the BRS in the next elections. However, in Kodangal, Revanth Reddy had not even met the Lagacherla farmers, who were agitating for the last nine months. The incident when the Collector visited the village was an outcome of the Chief Minister and his brothers trying to forcibly acquire land from the farmers, he said.

Though the highest number of weavers were in Sircilla, the Chief Miniser had sanctioned a yarn depot to Vemulawada. Revanth Reddy was taking decisions without awareness and minimum knowledge on the issues, Rama Rao said
