CMC removes 345 encroachments across three Cyberabad zones

Cyberabad Municipal Corporation teams removed 345 encroachments across Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur zones during a drive to reclaim roads, footpaths and public spaces. A total of 12.45 km was restored, with officials vowing continued monitoring to prevent re-encroachment.

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) teams carried out an encroachment removal drive on footpaths across identified stretches in three zones, Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur, and reclaimed roads, footpaths and public spaces.

A press release said on Friday that 345 encroachments were removed during the drive and 12.45 km of footpaths, roads and public spaces were restored.


In Serilingampally zone, the CMC removed 116 encroachments on 4.5 km of footpaths; in the Kukatpally zone, 68 encroachments were removed and 3.35 km was restored, while in the Quthbullapur zone, 161 encroachments were removed and 4.6 km was restored.

The CMC teams will continue monitoring the cleared stretches to prevent re-encroachment and ensure reclaimed roads, footpaths and public spaces remain available for public use.
