CME-2021 on sex to be held in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: The 7th mid-term Continuing Medical Education-2021 (CME) on “Sex-Discuss and Debate” will be held at Prathima multiplex in Karimnagar on Sunday. The State unit of Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) in association with Manna hospital is organising CME on the theme of sex for the first time. IPS national president DR NN Raju will inaugurate the programme.

Announcing this to media persons, IPS State president Dr Rama Subba Reddy stated that IPS south India president Dr Ramanan Erath, former president Dr Prasad Rao and others would take part in the discussion on various subjects pertaining to sex and its impact on individuals. Well-known psychiatrists across the country would speak on various issues at the event. Former IPS national president Dr Mrugesh Vaishnav speaks on erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and couple relations and sex tuning.

Editor-general of sexual health Dr TSS Rao would speak on women’s sexual problems and focused exercises. Dr MS Reddy would talk on happiness, mental peace and sexual performance, Dr Srilakshmi Pingali on sex and psychotropic and Dr Neena Sawanth would talk on pains during sex and other health issues. Present generation youth are being addicted to watching pornography on mobile phones. More exposure to pornography was leading to less sex performance and affecting their married life due to anxiety and depression.

Instead of quacks, people suffering from sex-related problems should approach psychiatrists for treatment to lead a normal life, he advised. CME organising committee chairman Dr P Kishan, chief patron Dr K Bhagya Reddy, organising secretary Dr M Praveen Kumar and IPS State president-elect V George Reddy were present.
