Cold wave in Telangana, single digit temperatures forecast till December 24
The IMD has issued a cold wave alert for Telangana till December 24, warning that minimum temperatures may fall 3°C to 4°C below normal. Several districts and parts of Hyderabad recorded single-digit temperatures over the weekend.

Hyderabad: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)- Hyderabad on Sunday issued a cold wave alert for Telangana till December 24.
The IMD-Hyderabad forecast said “Cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail over Telangana. Minimum temperatures are likely to be 3°C to 4°C below normal”.
Meanwhile, several locations witnessed single-digit minimum temperatures in the early hours of Sunday and Saturday night.
In Hyderabad, the areas that recorded lowest temperatures (in degree celsius) were Serilingampally, Hyderabad Central University (8.3), Rajendranagar (9), Moula Ali (9.1), Alwal (10.3), Gachibowli (10.4), Qutbullapur (10.8), Gajularamaram (10.8), Trimulgherry and West MArredpally (11.3).
Districts also witnessed severe cold wave with Sangareddy recording 5 degree C followed by Vikarabad (7), Asifabad (7.2), Adialabad (7.6), Medak (7.9), Kamareddy (7.9), Rangareddy (8.1) and Nizamabad 8.6 degree Celsius.
