Commercial Tax senior inspector killed in road accident in Mancherial

Mancherial: A Commercial Tax senior inspector was killed on the spot when a car mowed him down while he was standing on a road at a crossroad near Indaram village in Jaipur mandal on Monday night.
Police said Alapuri Anurag (35) from Mancherial town died on the spot after the car knocked him down around 9.30 pm. He, along with staff of the department, was reportedly discharging his duties at the time of the incident. Anurag is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
Based on a complaint received from Mamatha, Anurag’s mother, a case was registered against the driver of the car, Anupam Kumar. Investigation has been taken up.
