Commuters stranded for hours as Congress candidate files nomination for Jubilee Hills bypoll
A major traffic jam gripped parts of Hyderabad on Friday following the nomination filing by Congress candidate V. Naveen Yadav for the Jubilee Hills bypoll. Key stretches from Yousufguda to Jubilee Hills were clogged for hours, severely affecting public transport and leaving commuters stranded.

Hyderabad: The filing of nomination by the Congress party candidate V Naveen Yadav for Jubilee Hills assembly constituency bye-election ended up causing a significant traffic jam at Venkatagiri, Yousufguda, Krishna Nagar and adjoining areas on Friday.
The busy stretch between Yousufguda Check Post and Jubilee Hills (near Annapurna Studio) witnessed traffic snarls and movement of vehicles was severely disrupted between 11 am and 2 pm.
In addition to daily commuters, city buses, cabs and goods vehicles were caught in the heavy traffic jam. Public transport was severely affected, causing passengers at bus stops to wait for city buses for extended periods.
