Home | Warangal Rural | Congress Is 20 Percent Commission Government Says Kcr

Congress is “20 percent commission” government, says KCR

Accusations have been made that funds intended for public welfare were being diverted into private pockets. This claim is not solely from the BRS; over 200 contractors, who had not received payment for their bills unless they paid commissions, protested by storming the Finance Minister’s office in the Secretariat. They raised concerns about the prevalent commission culture, he said.

Hyderabad: In a fiery attack on the Congress rule in the State, BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao dubbed it a government mired in corruption and unfulfilled promises. Claims of 20 to 30 percent commissions in clearing bills have sparked outrage, he said.

There were accusations of money being funneled into private pockets rather than being used for public welfare. This is not an allegation of the BRS alone. Over 200 contractors, who failed to get their bills cleared without payment of commissions, had made a hue and cry barging into the chambers of the Minister for Finance in the Secretariat. They voiced concern over the commission tendency, he said.

Decrying the Congress practice of filling money bags and carrying them elsewhere gaining ground, Chandrashekhar Rao said former sarpanches, who had invested in the development of their villages, were waiting for long for clearance of their bills. But they too were facing the same problem. They have expressed disappointment and questioned the Congress party’s commitment to rural development, he said.

Calling the Congress government a failed government, he pointed out that it had failed on welfare, Rythu Bandhu, power supply, fertiliser distribution, paddy and in the implementation of every other initiative which the BRS had successfully carried forward for a decade.
