Congress leader booked for animal sacrifice during Bonalu festivities
Congress leader Neelam Madhu Mudiraj has been booked by Patancheru police for conducting an animal sacrifice during Bonalu festivities at Chitkul. Activist Adlapuram Goutham lodged a complaint after Madhu posted a video of the sacrifice online, leading to police action.

Sangareddy: The Patancheru police registered a case against Congress leader Neelam Madhu Mudiraj, who was involved in an animal sacrifice, during Bonalu celebrations at Chitkul. The festivities were organised under the leadership of Neelam Madhu at his native place on Thursday.
A buffalo was taken in procession during the festivities and sacrificed it before the presiding deities. Later, Madhu uploaded the video on social media accounts, which animal rights activist Adulapuram Goutham accessed and lodged a complaint at Patancheru police station.
Goutham also made a field visit and inquired into the incident before filing the case. After examining the evidence, Inspector M Ravindar registered a case against Madhu.
