Congress MLAs defy party directive, continue pushing for cabinet berths

Although three new ministers were inducted into the cabinet on June 8, after an 18-month wait, three positions still remain vacant.

Hyderabad: Despite clear instructions from the Telangana Congress leadership against lobbying, several party MLAs continue to approach the high command seeking cabinet berths.

On Saturday, Parigi MLA T Rammohan Reddy met AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi and submitted a representation seeking a place in the State cabinet. He also reportedly outlined his qualifications and contributions to bolster his case.
