Constable killed, wife and daughter injured in Khammam road mishap
A police constable was killed and his wife and daughter sustained fractures in a road accident on Greenfield Highway near Ramanujavaram village in Khammam district.

Khammam: A police constable was killed while his wife and daughter suffered fractures in a road accident on the Greenfield Highway near Ramanujavaram village in Tallada mandal of the district.
According to police, the constable Swarnakanti Jaswanth (36), his wife Jyothi, daughter Manya and son Kalyan Ram had gone to Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple at Annavaram in Kakinada of Andhra Pradesh in a car to have darshan of the deity.
While returning to Hyderabad on Saturday after visiting the temple, the car went out of control near Ramanujavaram and hit the barricade on the left side of the road. As a result, the car flipped in the air and fell on the highway, killing Jaswanth on the spot.
Jyothi and Manya suffered broken legs and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Kalyan Ram escaped unhurt in the accident. The deceased, a constable of the 2021 batch was working at Bollaram police station in Hyderabad.
Upon receiving the information, the police registered a case and started investigating the incident. The body was taken to the Khammam Government General Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
