COVA Peace Network launches interfaith book on festivals
COVA Peace Network launched a book titled ‘Festivals of Different Religions: Celebrations – Messages – Values’, which explores the festivities, messages and values of 35 festivals across seven religions.

Hyderabad: A book ‘Festivals of Different Religions: Celebrations – Messages – Values’ was launched by COVA Peace Network. The book gives an overview of the festivities, messages and values of 35 festivals of seven religions viz. Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Sikhism and Zoroastrianism, according to a press release.
The book shows that festivals can become a good medium for understanding religions in an enjoyable way that will also inculcate respect for other faiths and traditions, said Mazher Hussain of the COVA Peace Network.
Faith Leaders who contributed to the preparation of the book were Buddhism: Tashi Cheodup, Christianity: Bro. Varghese Tackaneth, Hinduism: Dr. Nch. Harikrishna, Jainism: Sushil Chanodia Jain, Islam: Dr. Irfan Basha, Sikhism: Rachhpal Singh Khalsa and Zoroastrianism: Evard Mehernosh Bharucha.
The book compiled and curated by Shabana Khan and Naziya Begum was released by the faith leaders along with Vithal Rao Arya, Jhansi Rani and Mir Shahid Saleem from Jammu & Kashmir.
