Hyderabad: Precautionary measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus are underway in the city. While the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is strengthening 30 isolation centres located in different parts of the city, officials of the Department of Health, Medical & Family Welfare continued with their fever survey in Tolichowki for the third consecutive day. The fever survey was held in the locality as two foreign nationals who were tested positive for Covid-19 Omicron variant came to this area.
Meanwhile, the civic body’s entomology wing intensified the spraying activity in this area and sodium hypochlorite was sprayed in public places. The civic body officials said that measures to contain the spread of the virus will continue. “Besides intensifying the spraying activity, sanitation in Tolichowki and its surrounding areas has been scaled up,”said an official from the GHMC sanitation wing.
