CPI(M) State committee member Chukka Ramulu addressing the media in Sangareddy on Tuesday.
Sangareddy: CPI (M) State committee member Chukka Ramulu has demanded that Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad disqualify the BRS MLAs who switched loyalties to Congress post-elections.
Responding to the Speaker’s decision to serve notices on these MLAs, in Sangareddy on Tuesday, Ramulu alleged that the Speaker intentionally delayed the action even though the court asked him to take immediate action.
The senior CPI (M) leader demanded that the Speaker implement the anti-defection law strictly. He said the BJP MPs and two Union Ministers from Telangana had failed to get funds to Telangana in the Union Budget.
Ramulu also said that the BJP-led Union government had failed to fulfill the promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act.
Party leaders Beeram Mallesham, Gollapally Jayaraju, Athimela Manik, and others were present.
