CRPF 212 Bn pays tribute to martyrs on Police Commemoration Day

The CRPF 212 Battalion at Yetapaka, ASR district, observed Police Commemoration Day with solemn tributes to fallen jawans. The ceremony honoured the 1959 Hot Springs martyrs and reaffirmed the force’s commitment to national service.

Kothagudem: The Police Commemoration Day was observed in a solemn manner at CRPF 212 Battalion headquarters at Yetapaka of ASR district in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

The battalion Second-in-Command Dinesh Kumar recalled the heroic sacrifice of CRPF jawans in the 1959 Hot Springs incident, where they bravely fought against the Chinese Army in Ladakh. The commemoration serves as a reminder of the unwavering dedication and supreme sacrifice made by police personnel in service of the nation, he said.

During the ceremony, the names of the martyred jawans were read out and heartfelt tributes were paid to their memory. Deputy Commandants Ajay Pratap Singh and Gaurav Kumar Sharma were present.
