Karimnagar: District Collector RV Karnan on Thursday said a CT scan facility would be available in the district headquarters hospital soon.
The Collector inspected District Headquarters Hospital, and Mother and Child Health Center and examined treatment and facilities being provided to patients in the hospitals. He also examined the facilities being provided to pregnant women in MCH.
Speaking on the occasion, Karnan said that besides all basic facilities, the latest equipment was arranged in hospitals to provide corporate level treatment to the poor. In order to overcome the oxygen shortage and protect people at the time of the Covid pandemic, an oxygen generation plant was also established in the hospital.
The Collector instructed doctors to enhance deliveries in MCH. Deliveries have also been done to pregnant women infected by a coronavirus. He instructed contractors to speed up construction works being taken place in MCH. Hospital superintendent Dr Ratnamala, Regional Medical Officer Dr Shouraiah, Dr Aleem and others were present.
