Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police have warned the public against falling prey to fraudsters using the Zopnow e-commerce platform. The police have registered six cases so far.

According to the officials, victims said they had transferred money online after placing orders for groceries on the “Zopnow” ecommerce platform.

However, the goods were not delivered. The police have found out that there was no ‘cash on delivery’ option and that the people behind the platform were promoting it with attractive deals to lure the public. A few of the deals state that a few products were priced at Re 1 each.

“People are getting carried away with lucrative offers and without verifying, are placing orders and transferring money through debit/credit cards,” Cybercrime officials said.
