Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Stephen Raveendra extended his wishes to the young student golfers from the TSWREIS (Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society) here on Saturday.
The Commissioner met 11 students from the TSWREIS School from Gowlidoddi at his office. The students are participating in the forthcoming Golf Southern Zone tournament to be held at Coimbatore and Kolar District between September 7 and 13. The commissioner appreciated the students for utilising the opportunity to excel, despite being from rural and weaker backgrounds. He also appreciated their recent victory at the Shubhankar Sharma Invitational trophy held at Hyderabad.
Coach and Golf professional Bhasker Samuel, TSWREIS Sports Secretary Ram Laxman, TSWREIS Physical Director Satyanarayana was present.
The students participating in the Southern Zone golf tournament are Amulya, Haritha, Madhu, Sagar, Vignesh, Mukul, Naveena, Anusha, Akhila, Priscilla and Pragathi.
