Cyberabad police book 527 people for drunk driving in special weekend checks

Cyberabad police booked 527 individuals for drunk driving during a special drive. KPHB, Shamshabad, and Miyapur reported the highest violations. Twenty-four offenders recorded BAC levels over 300 mg/100 ml. Legal action and penalties have been initiated.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police during a special drunk driving check apprehended 527 persons and booked cases against them.

Among those caught are two wheelers – 404, three wheelers – 24, four wheelers – 93 and heavy vehicles 6.

The KPHB traffic police caught the highest number 64 persons, followed by Shamshabad and Miyapur with 50 persons each, Chevella – 44 and Gachibowli – 39.

A total of 24 people had BAC levels ranging from 301 mg/100 ml to 500 mg/100 ml.
