Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police have uncovered an alleged fake Government Order (GO) and illegal land deal racket involving government land in Gandipet and arrested three persons on Friday.
The arrested suspects are N Rajesh Goud, N Venugopal and N Sai Kiran, while several others, including B Ramesh, Brahma Naidu, Sunil and Radhakrishna, are absconding.
The case was registered at the Narsingi police station following a complaint from the Gandipet Tahsildar, who alleged that forged GOs were being circulated on WhatsApp and social media, claiming that 10 acres of government land in Survey No. 18 had been regularised in favour of private individuals.
Police said the suspects allegedly fabricated fake documents and attempted to sell the land for Rs 3.5 crore per acre despite having no legal ownership rights. It was found that nearly Rs 4 crore had allegedly been collected as part of the proposed land deal.
Police seized bank passbooks, MOUs, mobile phones and a laptop during searches conducted at the houses of the suspects. Further investigation is on.
