Cyberabad Police destroyed 833.118 kg of seized narcotics worth Rs 5.02 crore, linked to 101 NDPS Act cases. The contraband, including marijuana, MDMA, alprazolam and hashish oil, was incinerated under official supervision following environmental pollution control norms.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police destroyed 833.118 kgs of seized narcotic substances worth Rs 5.02 crore as part of the disposal of contraband seized in NDPS Act cases, on Friday.
The destruction was carried out under the supervision of the Drug Disposal Committee, headed by DCP (Crimes & EOW) A Muthyam Reddy. The narcotics were incinerated at GJ Multiclave (India) Pvt Ltd in Edulapally village, Nandigama mandal, Ranga Reddy district, in accordance with environmental pollution control norms.
According to police, the destroyed contraband was linked to 101 NDPS Act cases and included 797.841 kgs of marijuana, 912.2 grams of ganja plants, 24.640 kg of marijuana chocolates, 0.005 grams of MDMA, 1.658 kg of hashish oil, 7.970 kg of alprazolam, and 92 grams of charas.
Officials said the disposal of seized drugs was a crucial step in preventing the recirculation of narcotics.
